Diagnostics at the Mühldorf site
A major concern of our practice is the exact diagnosis of the respective disease, because only then is an optimal therapy possible.
- Clinical and manual medical examination
Alongside the personal interview and questioning of the patient, this is the most important factor in the diagnosis of orthopaedic and trauma surgery conditions.
- Ultrasound
Sonography device of the latest generation (Mindray) for the visualization of soft tissue structures (tendons, muscles, ligament structures, joints, bruises, cysts, bursae, etc.) and the infant hip for the early detection of congenital maturation disorders/malpositions.
- Digital X-ray
X-ray system from Siemens
For the visualization of bony changes/injuries. Thanks to digital X-ray technology, the images can be called up at any workstation. Electronic post-processing helps to avoid the need for repeat images, which minimizes radiation exposure. All medical assistants have the necessary X-ray qualifications.
- Laboratory
If necessary, blood samples are taken in the practice; we cooperate with a supra-regional laboratory.
- Magnetic resonance imaging / bone densitometry / computed tomography / scintigraphy
We work closely with local radiologists to carry out further diagnostics with magnetic resonance imaging, computer tomography, scintigraphy and bone densitometry.
Short-term appointments can be organized by our practice if necessary.
Therapy at the Mühldorf site
The spectrum includes the treatment of acute and chronic clinical pictures / injuries of the musculoskeletal system.
- Acupuncture
In classic body acupuncture, fine disposable needles are placed at specific acupuncture points. This method is frequently used in our practice (approx. 50-100 treatments per week). For the treatment of chronic low back pain and chronic knee joint pain, a co-payment-free treatment with 6-10 sessions is possible. For privately insured persons, acupuncture is reimbursed for all orthopaedic illnesses with chronic pain.
- Arthrosis therapy
Medication, injections, physiotherapy, physical measures and acupuncture therapy are used here. In addition, cartilage-protecting joint injections with hyaluronic acid are carried out. Almost without exception, we use preparations that are intended for a single injection. The costs of hyaluronic acid injections are not covered by statutory health insurance, but private health insurance companies usually cover the costs.
- Chirotherapy
This involves releasing so-called “blockages” in the spine or the joints of the extremities using special grip techniques.
- Injections and punctures
Joint injections, injections close to the spine (vertebral joints, nerve roots) and punctures are used.
- Pediatric orthopedics
Diagnosis and treatment of spinal deformities, hip maturation disorders, foot deformities, follow-up treatment after operations.
- Physical therapy
Heat treatment (often in combination with acupuncture), electrotherapy.
- Bandaging techniques
Plaster casts, tape bandages, zinc paste bandages, orthoses.
We maintain close contact with regional and national surgeons for any necessary operations.
Types of appointments at the Mühldorf site
- Normal date
This is scheduled so that you usually only have to wait a short time in the practice. These dates are fully booked for 2-4 weeks depending on the demand, but can also be available at very short notice in the event of “gaps” (e.g. dates canceled at short notice). This appointment is planned so that a maximum of 2 illnesses are treated.
In the event of several illnesses, this should be announced in advance by telephone.
- Control appointment, injection appointment
For these appointments, you will also only have to wait a short time in the practice. Treatment is limited to one disease, except in exceptional cases.
- Acupuncture appointment
The maximum waiting time is 10 minutes, usually 0-5 minutes.
- Emergency appointment
These appointments are made at short notice, depending on the urgency, even on the same day. Treatment is limited to the acute symptoms. As a rule, you must expect a longer waiting time at the practice. If the practice is acutely overloaded, we may have to ask you to see your family doctor first.
- No date
If you come to the practice without calling in advance, i.e. without an appointment, we can only accept you if there is an urgent emergency. Depending on the urgency, you should expect longer waiting times at the practice.
- Open consultation hours
Was decided by the legislator. We offer this consultation hour on 5 days/week, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. We treat up to 10 patients in each open consultation.
